WordPress एक most popular CMS (Content Management System) है. अगर बात की जाये WordPress की तो जीतनी बी website बन रही है या internet पे चल रही है उसमे से ज्यादा तर WordPress में बनायीं गई website ज्यादा है | internet पे 36% से ज्यादा WordPress में बनी website है|
WordPress में website को बनाना बहुत ही आसान है. क्योकि WordPress में website को बनाने के लिए हमे HTML , CSS ,Jquery जैसी technie का आना जरुरी नहीं है non -technical persion बी WordPress में website बना सकता है|

Michel voldrighi नाम के programmer ने b2 /cafelog project bloging के लिए बनाया था जिसके आधार से Matt Mullenweg और Mike Little ने WordPress बनाया है|
WordPress में बाद में changes / implement करके उसमे theme instalation ,plugin instalation जैसे सब featere WordPress में पीछे से add किये गए|
Bassically WordPress को बनाने के लिए php , Mysql (RDBMS) का उपयोग किया गया इस लिए WordPress php के based है|

WordPress एक Open-source CMS (content management system) software है | WordPress open-source इस लिए क्योकि WordPress software buy (purchase) नहीं करना पड़ता वह free of cost है| WordPress software internet से आसानी छे download किया जा सकता है |
CMS (content management system ) एक ऐसा software है | जिसमे हमारे POST के relate data जैसे की text, images, document files store करता है और हमारी website में avalable करवाता है|
Post के related content data को edit, publish और delete कर सकते है|

WordPress में सभी themes का layout different होता इस लिए theme के related website का view दिखाई देता है | theme के अपने template files , stylesheet images और custom pages होते है| - Plugin : अगर हम अपनी website में extra functionality को add करना चाहते है तो वह हम plugin का उपयोग से कर सकते है इसके लिए हम plugin के directory में जाके functionality related plugin find करके वह अपनी WordPress की website में add कर सकते है|
- User Management : Website में एक से ज्यादा user होते है इसमें एक super admin होता है| वह सभी user Information को manage करता है| super admin को Website की पूरा authentication होता है इस लिए super admin user को (administrator ,subscriber ,editor ,author) बना सकता है|
